According to Japanese legend, there is an invisible red string tied around a person’s little finger. The red string connects two people destined to be lovers, regardless of time, place or circumstance. The invisible red string may stretch, twist or tangle but never break….Midori is a Japanese-born, Sydney-based contemporary artist. She loves music and her fascination toward people and music gives her endless inspiration. Her solo exhibition, “Hear the Wind Sing” is a collection of her latest works including “Red String” series.

Monday, 11th February 2013 - Saturday, 13th April 2013

She paints with acrylic and oil as well as creating artworks with many different kinds of paper. She is interested in using origami to make artworks. Origami is the Japanese traditional art of paper folding. Regular origami uses a single square of paper that is folded and unfolded to create three-dimensional forms. Her solo exhibition, “Fold with Love II” is a collection of her latest works with paper and paintings.
